Terms and Conditions for participants of Unscripted Academy:

Illness / Health Conditions

Do not attend any in-person classes if you have any serious health conditions unless you have spoken to us first. If you are attending a workshop and have someone at home who is considered high risk, you are entering the course at your own risk, and "Unscripted Academy" (hereon referred to as UA) will not be held responsible. By agreeing to this you take full responsibility for your health and safety.

Attendance

You must contact UA with as much notice as possible if you cannot attend a session. Missed sessions are not refundable.

Punctuality

Each participant is expected to arrive 10 minutes before the session to allow time for a prompt start.

Fees

All payments made to UA are non-refundable; only in exceptional circumstances will we accept split payments.

One-off Workshops

• The full fee for any one-off workshop must be paid in full.

Ongoing Workshops

• Ongoing workshops, both online and in person, will require a deposit of £50, deductible from the total price.

• The total fee shall be paid no later than 21 days before the start date of the series.

• Should this not be paid before the 21-day deadline, spaces cannot be guaranteed.

• If you book to join an ongoing series after the 21-day deadline, and spaces are not available, your deposit will be issued as credit.

Cancellations & Re-schedulings

Non-Refundable Policy:

• All bookings for workshops and courses are strictly non-refundable.

Rescheduling Policy:

• You may request to reschedule your booking up to 21 days prior to the workshop start date. Rescheduling requests made within this timeframe may be accommodated, subject to availability.

• Rescheduling requests made less than 21 days prior to the workshop start date will not be accepted, and no refund or alternative arrangements will be offered.

Exceptional Circumstances:

• In cases of exceptional circumstances, requests for rescheduling or refunds will be reviewed at the sole discretion of UA. Supporting evidence may be required to process such requests.

How to Request Rescheduling:

• To request a reschedule, please contact help@unscriptedacademy.co.uk as soon as possible, providing details of your booking and the reason for your request.

Credit Policy

Issuance of Credit

• Credit issued by UA may be provided as a promotional reward, refund, or other forms of goodwill. This Credit is issued solely for use within UA, subject to the terms outlined below.

Restrictions of Withdrawal

• Credit cannot be withdrawn, redeemed for cash, or transferred to any external payment system or account.

• Credit holds no monetary value and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Permitted Use

• Credit may be used exclusively to purchase eligible products or services, offered by UA.

Non-Transferability

• Credit is tied exclusively to the account to which it was issued. It cannot be sold, gifted, transferred, or shared with another account or user.

Expiration

• Credit will expire exactly 1 year after its issue date. Should the account holder pass the set expiration date, any unused balance will be forfeited without compensation.

Modification and Revocation

• UA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or revoke Credit at any time, at its sole discretion, particularly (but not limited to) in cases of misuse, fraud, or violation of these terms.

No Cash Value

• Credit is not equivalent to legal tender and does not represent a claim against UA for cash, refunds, or other monetary payments.

Admissions

Once your application has been received it may take up to 3 working days to process.

Participant Behaviour

UA has the right to remove any student from the course if any participant is seen in the tutor's opinion to be treating a session with improper behaviour or with disrespectable conduct.

If any participant is found to have been drinking alcohol or to be under the influence of drugs when attending any session then UA has the right to remove that participant from the course with immediate effect.

If a participant is deemed: verbally abusive, aggressive, repeatedly disrespectful, persistently rude, or showing a quality of behaviour not in line with a positive working attitude, UA has the right to remove that student with immediate effect.

Students who are removed will not receive refunds.

Health, Medical and/or Learning Difficulties

To help your progress, you may be invited to explore your emotional psychology and many of the workshops involve physical movement. You must inform the UA team of any medical conditions, including (but not limited to): mental health conditions, neurodivergent conditions, physical conditions, or any relatable factor which may affect you during the course and/or that may require UA to adjust the training for your learning. In response to this information, you hereby confirm that you are medically, physically and mentally in good health and/or fit enough to take part. If you do have a health condition - but your doctor has advised that you are fit and able enough to take part, please disclose this information at the time of application.

Should you choose not to inform UA of any conditions or disabilities, you must take full responsibility, and accept the possibility that the tutor may ask you to leave or be moved to a more applicable class.

Photo/Video Permission

The occasional photo/video may be taken during your workshops, to be used for our website and social media. UA will assume consent to images and video usage unless notified otherwise. Please let us know before your first session if you do not want us to use photos or videos of you.

As a participant, while we do not advocate phone usage during our workshops, you may take photos and videos, so long as it doesn't interfere with the workshops. This will be left to the opinion of the tutor.

Tutor Attendance

All tutors are also working professionals. Due to this, tutors may be called to work with short notice. In these instances, an alternative acting tutor will be provided as cover. In the rare case that a session has to be cancelled, an alternative session will be offered to you.
